Austria is in the heart of Europe, a country of rich history, well known for its beautiful landscape. Vienna, its capital, has been named the most liveable city out of 173 in the world. Austria’s economy is strong with many small and mid-size companies but also large corporations that are global market leaders in their field.
For AIMS International, Austria is an important market to be present, whilst we stick to our global principles, which are lived in all our 50+ offices in the world: customer focus at all times, international orientation but local execution, combined with highest quality standards.
In order to leverage synergies, AIMS Austria closely partners with AIMS Switzerland. By doing so, we perfectly match extensive international industry experience with profound local market knowledge. Moreover, we can rely on a strong collaboration between all AIMS offices, which is in particular important for internationally oriented search and talent management projects. More and more companies try to attract managers with diverse backgrounds and work experiences in multiple countries, sometimes paired with non-linear career paths. AIMS Austria is ideally placed to support companies in this transformation.

Our Services

Real added value with Premium Executive Search services

In the midst of a rapidly evolving recruitment landscape, it’s crucial to distinguish between ordinary recruitment services, often relying on standardised and AI-supported processes run by junior employees, and premium executive search solutions. At AIMS International Switzerland, we pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Tailored Partnership: We take a consultative approach and work in partnership with you, allowing us to propose alternative organizational setups and delve into previously untapped industries and functions. We strive to align our candidate selection with your vision and objectives.

Unparalleled Expertise and Uncompromising Quality: Our team of senior professionals possesses deep industry knowledge and a global network, ensuring access to exceptional talent across borders. We thoroughly assess candidates, providing you with accurate and insightful evaluations.

Global Reach, Local Insight: With a strong presence in over 50 countries, our global boutique model combines local roots with a worldwide perspective. This advantage enables us to navigate diverse markets, seamlessly source top talent, and provide you with access to valuable local knowledge.

End-to-End Support: We stand by your side throughout the entire process, offering comprehensive guidance in defining role requirements, providing unwavering support during negotiations, and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience.

Assessments can be a useful tool to complement the candidate evaluation by an external recruiter, confirm your choice in the selection of a candidate recruited directly or evaluate if an employee is fit for a new role within the company. While computerised tests have become the norm, there are some risks inherent to their use which can only be avoided if the results are debriefed and interpreted by a certified professional.

Catherine Librandi, our in-house psychologist and EMEA Head of our global Talent Management Practice, guarantees this. Thanks to her, we are able to evaluate the suitability of internal or external candidates for a position, be it as part of a search assignment carried out by us or as an independent third party. We are also able to develop and implement the right screening process for your wider recruitment needs.

The term outplacement refers to the professional and psychological support within the career reorientation of individuals facing job loss. Outplacement is usually paid for by the employer and is provided by independent and specialized consultants.

An outplacement program (or career transition program) can be set up because of insufficient/inadequate performance of certain employees or when a company has to cope with restructuring related to mergers or takeovers, or because it is simply no longer sufficiently competitive and downsizing measures have become unavoidable in order to ensure better efficiency and higher profitability.

It is never easy for an employer to have to dismiss one or more employees, which is why outplacement programs provided by external consultants can be a very valuable service for all parties involved and offer various benefits.

However, not all outplacement programs provide the same value. If the company invests in such a service, it is essential that everyone benefit from it. At AIMS Switzerland, we have developed a unique programme combining the resources of several specialists that can benefit all parties involved.

By clicking below, you will discover:

  • The benefits for the employer (compliance with social responsibility standards, motivation of employees internally, promotion of the company’s image externally)
  • The benefits for the person concerned by the outplacement (rebounding and developing a new professional project in line with one’s skills and motivational factors)
  • The benefits of our approach (no confusion between the roles of coach and consultant, three experts working hand in hand with the outplacement candidate)

In addition to knowing whether a candidate or employee has the technical skills, the know-how, for a given role, we also believe that it is important to consider whether this person can really develop and perform within the company; in other words, if their value system is compatible with that of the organisation. Company culture is a living process, changing with the economic situation, societal movements and its employees. With all of this in hand, it will be easier to understand what to look for or develop within the workforce, in order to promote behaviours aligned with the company’s current culture.

At AIMS Austria, diversity is not a buzzword, but an essential lever for the performance and success of companies. In a globalised environment where borders tend to disappear, leaders need to be able to manage the many forms of diversity: diversity of talents, of stakeholders, of skills, of professions, but also cultural, gender, intergenerational diversity, etc. leaders need to develop the skills needed to manage diversity, such as emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, being aware of own strengths and shortcomings as well as cognitive biases, openness to feedback and continuous development. But also, social and environmental awareness, mental agility, flexibility, cultural intelligence, extensive networking skills and also developing a leadership style based on coaching practices.

To be able to face the climate, societal and economic challenges, it is necessary to find concrete solutions and act quickly. To guide our actions, 17 Sustainable Development Goals have been set by the United Nations to enable the sustainable development of our planet, at least 6 of which can be strongly impacted by organisations. Companies are major players in sustainable development and those that have taken concrete actions to encourage it will be the ones that will grow significantly in the years to come, as the demand from the entire population is moving in this direction. At a management level, leaders must demonstrate a sustainability mindset and take concrete actions to achieve these goals. We have integrated sustainability throughout all the services we offer at AIMS Austria, whether in terms of Executive Search or Talent Management.

We support our clients in the development of their HR capabilities, by looking at HR’s strategy, tasks, and processes, by facilitating and inducing cultural change, and training key HR personnel and managers accordingly.

Our library of HR and Talent Management processes includes:

  • HR strategy development and HR-competencies definition
  • Change programs & company culture
  • Organisational structures
  • Job mapping and specifications
  • Competency frameworks and libraries
  • Design and implementation of performance management and reward systems
  • Recruitment process implementation and training

Sometimes companies face organisational change. This can be limited in order to address a specific issue or wider and with many implications, like in the case of a merger, an acquisition or an expansion into a new territory or market.

As a global group of hundreds of senior consultants, we have gathered experience in virtually every industry and every market in the world. In the course of the assignments we have executed for our clients, we have also been confronted with every possible organisational model and every function/role a company can have.

Finally, we have access to senior executives and experts worldwide. We are therefore in a good position, not only to find, assess and develop executives and teams, but also organisations and markets, gather information, propose new models and solutions and populate them with the right people.

Our Team

The Austrian/ Swiss team is a blend of strong, internationally experienced experts, who have worked in different industries for many years, ranging from Life Science to Automotive. This previous management experience is very beneficial in order to perfectly understand client needs, which may differ significantly. We stand for tailor-made solutions in a boutique-style. We like challenging assignments. Moreover, the team has a deep knowledge in talent management. This enables us to provide excellent support in searching leaders and functional managers at all levels, but also to successfully run assessment, change management and people development projects.
