THE NORDIC & BALTIC CLIENT PERSPECTIVE

Written by Titti Hammarling, Managing Partner AIMS Sweden

In AIMS International we have many clients with a global presence due to our well-proven ability to solve assignments for them all around the world. We also collaborate country-wise with local clients where the AIMS International-partner companies are developed to match the specific market needs. Then we also have clients with a regional perspective on their business that we try to support with tailor-made offerings. One example of such an offering within AIMS International is the Nordic & Baltic perspective and team.

Last week the Nordic & Baltic AIMS International-partners met in Stockholm to share knowledge and ideas about how to support clients with a Nordic & Baltic business in the best possible way. As it is important to serve international companies that aim to establish or develop their businesses in the Nordic & Baltic markets. It is most often about Leadership or business development assignments for these clients but often also about knowledge concerning the region and the different country specific market conditions. 15 participants from Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden met and collaborated around a client focused agenda during an intense and constructive day at Den Gyldene Freden in Stockholm.

The Nordic & Baltic region is both a dynamic and demanding market. With a total population of more than 33 million people and a diversified industry – with everything from heavy manufacturing to retail, logistic services and advanced digital transformation solutions – clients constantly have to find the best people to work for them and the best consultants to help them find the right talent and leadership.

We have a long history of collaboration among AIMS International-partners in the region and we are well represented in the concerned countries. Today we are more than 30 senior consultants and every year we carry out more than 200 business critical Executive Search assignments. We also offer Talent Management services as assessments, audits and leadership development programs. There is a profound experience of strategic Key Account Management and preferred supplier agreements and other long-term client collaborations. Difficult assignments are our everyday challenge but most important is maybe that we are a team with possibilities to help the clients cross-border when needed.

Specific items on the agenda were how to further develop our offer and collaboration in the Nordic & Baltic markets and to work on the AIMS International Private Equity offer. For many PE-funds the Nordic & Baltic is a highly interesting region were to find companies to invest in, to develop and to make them internationalized. The PE-funds are in partnering with us offered a combination of financial understanding and industrial sector knowledge. A management audit is usually a natural first step when a new company is added to a PE-portfolio. To add new knowledge and the right change leadership with the help of strategic Executive Search is often the next natural step in a partnership.

“We FIND&GROW your leaders” is the overall offer from us in AIMS International. In the Nordic & Baltic team our next meeting will be held in Vilnius later this year. Until then we will listen to and work together with clients to ensure we are developing in line with their future needs when it comes to a trusted partnership in Executive Search and Talent Management.
