Over the two decades of working in Executive Search I have seen some changes in the way companies hire and promote women to leadership positions.

The discussion on gender equality and female access to business leadership has intensified and paved the way for them to assume more management positions.

However, this process needs to be accelerated, as according to a study by the World Economic Forum, it will take women 135 years to reach equality with men, a difficulty that was aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, The United Nations has embraced this agenda by including Gender Equality as Goal number 5 in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.”

It is not enough to create conditions for gender equality, it is necessary to prioritize the hiring, development and promotion of women to leadership positions with clear policies, well-defined goals and indicators to measure the evolution of the numbers related to this question.

We at AIMS International are ready to collaborate with these relevant initiatives and address this issue with companies interested in bringing the best Diversity and Inclusion practices to their Talent Management.
