President of AIMS International-US, John Poracky and AIMS International EVP, Bernardo Entschev attended the 12th Annual Beacon Awards.
April 9th, 2014 – USA, Key Biscayne, The Ritz Carlton – As a member of the Beacon Council, AIMS International-US took part in the 12th annual Beacon Awards and invited AIMS International Brazil to join. AIMS International-US opened their South Florida office in 2013. Attending the event allows AIMS to build additional knowledge of companies from around the world who are expanding into South Florida and/or international locations outside of Florida.
The Beacon Council is Miami-Dade County’s official economic development partnership, a not-for-profit, public-private organization. It focuses on job creation and economic growth by coordinating community-wide programs, promoting minority business and urban economic revitalization, delivering assistance to local businesses in their expansion efforts and marketing Greater Miami throughout the world.
The who’s who of south Florida companies were present. With the Beacon Awards, the Beacon Council recognizes businesses and organizations for their significant contributions in the areas of job creation, business expansion, corporate citizenship and leadership. The majority of the attending companies are regional or international players, i.e. American Airlines, Boeing, BBVA Compass, Bank of America, AAR Corp., Port of Miami, etc.
AIMS International AMERICAS EVP Bernardo Entschev was a valueable source for the LATAM participants. He had the opportunity to meet the General Consul of Commerce of Brazil, Bruno Rodriguez, to discuss Brazilian companies entering the American market through Miami.
